Car accidents: SUV rollover sends 3 injured victims to hospital

As expected, Ohio highways were extremely busy over the Memorial Day weekend. Multiple car accidents happened across the state, many of which caused severe injuries. Some were fatal. Three injured victims were rushed to hospitals after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 76.

According to a report by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident that occurred on Sunday involved an SUV that rolled over. According to preliminary investigations, tire tracks show that the vehicle veered onto the median and back onto the roadway. It appears the driver overcorrected, causing the SUV to flip over.

Authorities say the road had to be closed in both directions to allow a medical helicopter to land. One injured victim was flown to a hospital while two more were transported to medical facilities by ambulance. Reportedly, a pregnant woman was one of the injured people. The severity of their injuries was not revealed.

Whenever driver negligence causes car accidents in which passengers are injured, the victims are typically entitled to seek recovery of damages through the Ohio civil justice system. An experienced personal injury attorney can assess the circumstances to determine the viability of such a lawsuit. If there are grounds, the lawyer can assist with establishing negligence and documenting the claims. The attorney can provide the necessary support and guidance throughout the ensuing legal proceedings in pursuit of financial relief for economic and emotional losses. Medical expenses, lost income and other financial losses can form part of the documented claims, and emotional damages can include pain and suffering, loss of life enjoyment and more.
