Winter is in full effect and roadways in many states have become smaller due to massive amounts of snow. With increased amounts of snow come more frequent trips by snow plows on roadways. Many states continually warn motorists to be careful when traveling near snow plows on roadways. Unfortunately, car and truck accidents are evitable during the winter season and this includes accidents involving county snow plows. According to Ohio news reports, a truck accident occurred recently involving a semi truck and a snow plow that collided near Beavercreek late Friday afternoon. The truck accident occurred on U.S. Route 35 westbound at Trebein Road in Ohio.
Police reports detail that the semi driver was traveling westbound on U.S. 35 and the driver of the snow plow was attempting to turn right from Trebein Road when the truck accident occurred. "According to police, the driver of the semi ran the red light. He claimed that he couldn't see the snow plow due to bright sun and snow." No one was injured in the truck accident. As a result of this accident, traffic was stalled in the westbound lanes of U.S. Route 35 for several hours during the evening commute.
No charges have been filed in this truck accident case.
