Four Recover After Ohio Truck Accident

Two children and two adults are recovering from a truck accident on Thursday this week. The truck accident occurred when a pickup truck crashed into a parked utility truck, causing the utility worker to be thrown from the truck's elevated bucket. Reports detail that the children, who were riding in the pickup with a 28-year-old driver, suffered the most severe injuries and were flown from the scene to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center following the truck accident.

The woman's 5-year-old daughter suffered a broken hip and lacerated liver, according to police. Her other son, 11, remains in the intensive care unit at the hospital. He suffered several broken bones and was in and out of consciousness. "Authorities have not said whether the occupants of the pickup were wearing restraints when their vehicle barreled into the utility truck, which was parked in the roadway in the 3400 block of Ohio 756, a two-lane country road with a posted speed limit of 55 mph."

The worker injured in the truck accident, a 38-year-old man, worked for Frontier Energy and was treated and released form the hospital following the incident.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating this truck accident. However, the driver of the pick up told police that she was blinded by the sun when she struck the utility vehicle.
