Driver in Critical Condition after Multi-Truck Accident

Recent news reports detail that a truck driver remains in critical condition following a multi-truck accident on Interstate 95 South. A 59-year-old tractor-trailer driver, from Williamsburg, New Jersey, was critically injured while driving a rig carrying cranberries when his rig rear-ended a flatbed tractor-trailer that was stopped for traffic half a mile south of Exit 74 around 7:14 p.m. As a result of the initial collision, the second truck was forced into a box truck stopped in front of it.

Truck Accident Results in Bridge Demolition

A truck driver from Cleveland reportedly caused a truck accident in Washington County, Pa. last Monday. No one was hurt in the truck accident but as a result of the crash the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation recently ordered that the bridge be torn down. According to news reports, a 49-year-old truck driver was reportedly heading west on Interstate 70 when the semi truck he was driving collided with the McIlvaine Bridge.

Truck Driver Sentenced in Ohio Truck Accident Case

A Chicago, Ill., truck driver was recently sentenced to serve 30 days in jail and pay a fine in connection with a truck accident that killed four people riding on a special needs bus during a snowstorm in Ohio. According to the Springfield News-Sun, a 60-year-old truck driver was sentenced on Wednesday following a court hearing. During the hearing, the man apologized to the families of the victims as the judge handed down his sentence. The judge sentenced the man after hearing the facts regarding a January truck accident that killed a bus driver and three special needs adults on Interstate 70 near Springfield.

Ohio Truck Accident Injures Girl, Infant

A recent truck accident in Ohio critically injured 5 people, including two children and an infant, last week on I-70 when a tractor-trailer and a minivan collided in western Franklin County. According to Franklin County deputies, the truck accident occurred around 3 p.m. when a Ford Windstar heading east on Interstate 70 was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer truck. As a result of the collision, the Ford Windstar's back half of the vehicle was crush and forced off the south side of the freeway.

Truck Accident Leaves Woman with Injuries, Totaled Vehicle

News reports are calling one woman "extremely lucky" after her vehicle was sideswiped yesterday by two tanker trucks on Ohio Interstate 122 between Hart and Springboro roads in Clearcreek Twp. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the truck accident occurred when the woman was driving her Ford Thunderbird west on Ohio 122 around 6:40 a.m. yesterday and attempted to pass a tanker truck transporting LP gas in a no-passing zone.

$62.7M Truck Accident Lawsuit Settled

A truck accident lawsuit initiated by the families of 10 people that were killed after a tractor-trailer slammed into a line of stopped vehicles was recently settled for an estimated $62.7 million dollars. This settlement stems from a suit filed by the families of eight of the victims from 2009 in Cleveland County and was reached on Wednesday. An out-of-court settlement was reached earlier on behalf of the other two victims for undisclosed amounts.

Two Men Critically Injured in Truck Accident at US 30, Ohio 511

A serious truck accident at Ohio 511 and U.S. 30 West injured two individuals on Monday. As a result of the crash, one lane of "U.S. 30 westbound was expected to open around 2 p.m. today, but Ohio 511 between U.S. 30 and 42 remains closed after a commercial tanker hauling 8,500 gallons of fuel crashed and overturned Monday night." U.S. 30 East reopened following the truck accident just before 8 a.m.
